According to Halacha (Jewish Law), it is an ordinance that both the boxes (Batim) of the Tefillin and the straps (Retzuot) are black. In the case of the Batim, they must wear this color on all their faces except the lower one that has direct contact with the skin. The Retzuot must at least be black on the outside, although some straps (especially those called "Mehudarot" which have a higher level of beauty) are even black on the inside.
Enamel is used to correct Retzuot, painting those places where the original paint has been marked, detached or broken. The lid of this jar comes with a brush for greater precision and practicality. It can be Glossy or Matte Black, depending on the shade of your Retzuot.
The marker is used to correct those places where the Batim (the boxes) have suffered paint damage. It is handled like any other marker, and it is certified that 100% of the products used to manufacture the ink are Casher.
Important: Before using it, you must make a declaration of intention, being aware that you are painting the Batim for the sake of the sacredness that the Tefillin maintain. The Kavana is the following: "Leshem Kedushat Tefillin", and you must recite it before starting painting.
